FIT by Alexander Ekman

Staged for the Theater Basel (2022), Hapog-Llyod Cruises (2024), Nederlands Dans Theater 2 (2025)

FIT by Alexander Ekman was created with the Nederlands Dans Theater 2 in 2018. As I was part of the original cast, it’s been a special task to remount and recreate it on different groups, watching it reshape as the years passed by and as new interests and intentions arose within Alex. 

It’s a piece that demands elegance, connectivity and extreme presence. When staging this specific work, my focus is on making the intentions and narrative coherent, emphasizing on helping the dancers understand and master the delicate balance in the humour of Ekman’s work.
